In this installment, get to know Chenfu Davidson.
I joined FBN in July 2023, and I’m based in Chicago. My current role is supply chain business partner. I partner with supply chain, finance, sales, marketing, logistics, and all teams to bring visibility to product costs; support the team in sourcing, manufacturing, and pricing decisions; and bring more rigor to our cost management processes.
Supply chain is the bridge between farmers and suppliers. We live and act on our mission to be Farmers First®. With our extended sourcing network, strategy, and data technology, business decisions are based on how farmers can receive crop protection products with competitive pricing and how we can provide a high return on investment experience to farmers.
As a major online provider of crop inputs, FBN also offers farmers marketing support and credit. The vision of putting the world of agriculture at the farmers’ fingertips and empowering them through information, technology, and a network is very compelling to me.
I joined the company for three main reasons:
I believed in FBN’s mission and platform.
A great hiring manager with deep industry experience took time helping me understand the company, the organization, the role, and my interest.
The role empowers me to build upon my finance knowledge and operational experience, ultimately adding value to the team.
Prior to FBN, I worked for companies with commodity focus, having served in various finance roles supporting manufacturing, sales, supply chain, and cost improvement efforts.
My husband and I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures.
