August 8 Pest Poll Results

This week we turned our pest poll focus to two insects we hadn't yet covered this year, but tend to be perennial problems at this point on the calendar. With a record 1,800+ members responding it's clear that Grasshoppers and Japanese Beetles are at least starting to grab the attention of growers across the country.

Grasshoppers, while most prevalent across the western plains and areas north, seem to be on almost everyone's radar. Meanwhile, we do see Japanese Beetles appearing in pockets. Especially across Illinois, Nebraska and Michigan.
