Have you replaced the isobus socket on the tractor? There is a can terminator and a relay built into the plug. Had one of those go bad and it messed up the can voltages. I don't have the part number in front of me.

You might try replacing your can terminators on the tractor or there may be one on the planter as well. I used to be a JD Field tech. The where a common item to replace when you had communication issues. There is an active and a passive terminator. One is behind the radio and the other is out in front of the radiator I think. Most Deere dealers keep them in stock. Think there called diodes in the ...

thanks for the response. Ya we tried to simulate it by pulling on wires and bouncing them around and couldnt get it to happen. I really dislike electrical issues they can be so difficult to diagnos. I tried a cold boot of the 2630 as well with no luck. Some times it happens on each end of the field and sometimes i can go an hour with no trouble. I called John Deere tech support on the stellar supp...

hope you are having better luck. One suggestion I would have is to check battery grounds on the tractor. We had an 8335R that had some controller grounds under the rear window panel on back of tractor. They had gotten corroded and caused intermittent problems. Seemed to happen when we lifted the planter out of the ground at end of field. There should be a terminator on end of rate controller harne...
