Meet Dennis Hoppe, who leads FBN Nebraska. Though no two days look the same for Dennis, at any moment, you’re almost guaranteed to find him talking to farmers. Whether he’s out in the field or presenting at agronomic seminars, bringing farmers the value of the network is the core of Dennis’ work. In addition to training members on FBN’s system and growing the network, Dennis continually provides feedback from farmers to the FBN product team.
Dennis was attracted to FBN by its focus on the farmer, entrepreneurial spirit, and technical excellence.

Dennis grew up on a diversified operation growing corn, soybean, alfalfa, cattle, and pigs near Albion, NE, before heading off to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to get his degree in biochemistry.
After graduation, Dennis spent several years as a member of the Nebraska Army National Guard. He started working in agriculture in advanced irrigation and followed by several years with Case-NH in Nebraska and Iowa. He was fascinated by the level of technology available to farmers, particularly precision technology, but also saw a lot of gaps that made it challenging for farmers to use and get the most from their equipment. This brought Dennis to FBN.
While Dennis is always excited about finding ways to help farmers be more productive and profitable, he’s particularly excited about what insight the FBN network could hold on irrigation in Nebraska and Kansas. With a quickly depleting aquifer and the specter of regulations on the horizon, Dennis knows that there is a data-driven way to help farmers use less resources without sacrificing yield, and he’s excited to help farmers find a way to reach that goal.
Fun Fact: When he’s not hunting, fishing, and helping his father-in-law with his farm operation, Dennis is a competitive BBQer with his siblings under the banner of Hot Sauce Hoppe’s BBQ.
