Across a wide range of ag chem products, regardless of geography or product popularity, our annual Canadian Ag Chem Price Transparency Report has again found that Canadian farmers continue to pay a wide range of prices for the exact same products.
The 2025 report reveals up to an 82% price variation between the highest and lowest prices paid for chem nationwide, meaning some farmers are paying almost 2X as much as their peers for the same products. On a regional level, farmers paid up to 26% more for the same ag chem compared to their neighbors.
Ultimately, Canadian farmers could have saved 45% buying from FBN rather than purchasing the same active ingredients from another chem retailer.*

Based on proprietary FBN data and farmer-submitted invoices, this year’s report examines 200 unique pricing data points between June 1, 2024, and January 15, 2025, across 30 chem products purchased by farmers in 4 provinces, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
