Andy Ackley, Ph.D., has joined Farmers Business Network℠ (FBN℠) as its Corn Product Expert, bringing deep industry expertise to the F2F Genetics Network™ team

Andy will lead the efforts for the F2F corn portfolio, researching and working with breeders to find new genetics, build out the breeder network, develop  trait options, and expand and improve data transparency across both F2F and other seed brands for FBN members.

“Farmers deserve the opportunity to raise a crop for profit,” said Ackley. “I’m looking forward to expanding FBN’s relationship within the breeder network -- and with new breeders -- so we can continue providing growers with the optimal genetics to make their crop profitable.”

Ackley brings to FBN more than 15 years of seed industry experience from his most recent roles as Corn Portfolio Manager and Corn Product Manager at Bayer (previously known as Monsanto) and his other seed and agronomic positions at Hubner Seed, Royster-Clark, Inc. and American Cyanamid Crop Protection Chemicals Division.

Ackley joins under the leadership of Ron Wulfkuhle, Head of Seed for FBN. Ron has extensive experience in the seed industry as he previously served as the CEO of GreenLeaf Genetics, and later as the Head of Enogen for Syngenta. He also served as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the American Seed Trade Association.

The F2F Genetics Team is also supported by Steve Sick, Seed Product Expert at FBN. He brings an extensive background working in corn, soy, sorghum, and sunflowers. His career started in research and development, and he most recently served as a product manager for Corteva’s NuTech brand.

F2F works with top-notch breeders that are able to develop new, high-performing hybrids without the inflated costs that traditionally come with the 5 steps of the traditional seed retail chain.

F2F Genetics is devoted to bringing farmers high-quality seeds at truly fair prices. The growth in the team comes as more than 900 farms plant seeds purchased through F2F in the ground this first year. Ackley’s corn expertise will help to accelerate opportunities for  even more farms to increase profitability be part of this new model of seed that puts Farmers First.
