Rhizoctonia is a genus of soil-borne fungi that cause significant diseases in a variety of crops across the United States and Canada. Notable diseases include Rhizoctonia root rot, damping-off, and stem canker, which affect crops such as soybeans, potatoes, sugar beets, and cereals. These pathogens thrive in warm, moist conditions and can lead to substantial yield losses by attacking the roots, stems, and lower leaves of plants. Effective management strategies include crop rotation, proper soil drainage, and the use of fungicides.
To treat Rhizoctonia, FBN offers several effective products, including:
Quadris® Flowable Fungicide: This product contains azoxystrobin and is effective against Rhizoctonia diseases.
GCS Azoxy 2SC: This is a substitute for Quadris® Flowable and also contains azoxystrobin.
Elatus® Fungicide: This product combines azoxystrobin and benzovindiflupyr for broad-spectrum control.
